SWITCHABLE GLASS SCREENS

PDLC Switchable Glass Screens

This optical Intelligent Film material is applied to glass and changes its visual appearance when an electrical current is activated. A simple ON – OFF mode switches the Intelligent Film or Glass from being clear (transparent) to frosted (translucent), in its frosted state the glass becomes a high definition front projection surface. The Intelligent Film is combined with a special reflective foil which traps a percentage of the projected light turning it into a front projection surface (this screen can also be used as a dual projection surface where the image is displayed on both sides at the same time).

The Intelligent Glass can be custom made to replace existing glass panels in window frames, glass walls and partitions or as a stand alone screen which can be placed on a stand or suspended on cables. The effect of the Intelligent Glass is a very minimal look which will blend easily into any architectural or contemporary environment, making it an ideal screen solution for historical buildings, churches, museums and modern day home / business environments. Our Intelligent Glass uses a very fine liquid crystal polymer which has been specifically designed to improve its performance as a projection screen for video and advertising.

Our PDLC Glass products are predominantly used for privacy, security and visual display applications.

LCD Glass Sealed Units

Pro Display has recently developed a way of manufacturing sealed units (double glazed panels) using our PDLC glass technology, which means we can manufacture panels using different types of glass - solar glass, tinted glass, fire rated glass etc.

For special orders we can produce laminate Intelligent Glass panels up to 1200mm wide.

LCD Glass Screens

Our standard process is to apply the reflective foil and the Intelligent Film to the surface of toughened (tempered) glass up to maximum size of 3000 x 985mm. The new process of producing sealed units using different types of glass, should allow us the flexibility to seamlessly join the Intelligent Film to create larger glass panel sizes.

LCD Glass Screens

Available in standard projection screen sizes 50”, 62”, 77” (16:9 aspect) and 100”, 120” (4:3 aspect). These include a cable suspension system, RF remote switch unit and 110V transformer. Custom screen sizes available upon request.

Designer LCD Glass Stand

The very latest in visual design innovation to compliment any modern home or business interior. Images can be projected portrait or landscape (50” diagonal). The stylish base unit is available in a number of finishes (wood, metal, marble or fabric) and is also a speaker to provide the complete hi tech TV / PC advertising screen.
