Rear Projection Switchable Film Screens

An optical screen material which changes its visual appearance when an electrical current is activated. A simple ON – OFF mode switches the Intelligent Film from being clear (transparent) to frosted (translucent), in its frosted state the material becomes a high definition rear projection surface.

Pro Display has recently made major developments with our PDLC technology and it is now available as a film material that can be simply applied to existing glass. The Film works in the same way as the PDLC Glass, but offers greater flexibility in the market, especially where it is difficult or costly to replace the existing glass. Other benefits include applications on curved glass and custom shaped Intelligent Film panels. Our Intelligent Film uses a very fine liquid crystal polymer which has been specifically designed to improve its performance as a projection screen for video and advertising.

Our PDLC Glass and Film is predominantly used for privacy, security and visual display applications.

Pro Display has recently developed the LCD Film with a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, which can be applied in a similar way to solar films or vinyl’s. Other developments include a range of 1200mm wide film available by special order.

LCD Film

Sheet sizes of 3000 x 980mm can be cut to a specific size and panels can be seamlessly joined for large surface areas. There are two methods of application for the film one is using a UV glue and the other is the self adhesive film (PSA).

LCD Film Poster System

Available in standard projection screen sizes 30”, 40”, 50”, 60” (4:3 aspect) and 77” (16:9 aspect). These include top and bottom fixing bars, cable suspension system, RF remote switch unit and 110V transformer. Custom screen sizes available upon request.

LCD Film Banner System

Available in two standard sizes 2025 x 985mm and 3025 x 985mm. These include top and bottom fixing bars, cable suspension system, RF remote switch unit and 110V transformer. The banners can be used either landscape or portrait and advertising images / graphics can be projected onto the surface. The banners have been design predominantly for display applications to unveil items or products, making them ideal for store window applications, exhibitions, product launches etc.  Custom screen sizes available upon request.
